Sassy Green Recipe
Think of this sassy smoothie as alkaline Southern Comfort in a glass. It’s bright, it’s refreshing, it’s a little spicy, but unlike SoCo, it’s full of green goodness. Many people think of collard greens as bitter, but they’re actually a mild and user-friendly addition to green smoothies – and an intensely healthful one. Collards are full of beta-carotene, which the body converts to vitamin A, an important nutrient for nails, hair, skin, and eyes. They’re also rich in cancer-preventing glucosinolates, iron, calcium, and folate. Down the hatch!
