Go organic!
Don't miss the new GO! Organic Festival
This September will see London's Battersea Park transformed into a one-of-a-kind, vibrant weekend celebration of the very best in organic, sustainable and healthy living.
Taking place from 8 to 9 September, GO! Organic is set to feature a raft of big-name and up and coming bands, celebrities, talks, demos in the Organic Kitchen, circus entertainment and much more. Alongside the traders, there will be entertainment for all ages, from live music to fun fair rides and even an animal farm.
Working with nature, promoting better food and supporting sustainability is what the GO! Organic Festival is all about – and what better way to do this than to hear from inspiring experts themselves? The Natural Talks Theatre will feature captivating and informative talks from a range of sustainable and organic thought-leaders, discussing topics ranging from organic farming to horticulture, and plastic pollution to wildlife – all showing that organic conversations really are relevant to everyone. Be inspired by the likes of BBC presenter Jonathan Dimbleby, environmental campaigner Natalie Fee, former Blue Peter gardener and head of horticulture at Garden Organic Chris Collins and top wildlife photographer Simon King – well known for his work on nature programmes such as Spring Watch, Planet Earth and Big Cat Diaries.
For food lovers, there will be over a dozen live cooking demonstrations in the Organic Kitchen, with top chefs sharing their pro tips and exclusive recipes for creating tasty, naturally good food every day. Theo Randall, a former head chef at the legendary River Café; ‘plant-forward’ chef Jay Morjaria; cook and author Melissa Hemsley, Gelf Alderson (executive chef at River Cottage); eco restaurateur Arthur Potts-Dawson; leading food writer and chef Rosie Birkett and GBBO contestant Chetna Makan are just some of the impressive line-up.
GO! Organic has also teamed up with Stroud Brewery to present the GO! Organic Beer Festival. Featuring over 40 of the best organic beers from UK organic breweries, it will have something for everyone – from refreshing IPAs to malty rich stouts.
There will be plenty of activities to keep the whole family busy, including performances from bands such as The Magic Numbers and The Hoosiers; children’s entertainers; fantastic feature areas like Meet The Farmer and the Clearspring Japanese Tea Garden; Abel & Cole’s picnic area; a children’s farm; hands-on workshops; bug hunts and so much more.
