Organic Honey, Fruit and Almond Porridge Recipe

Method

1. Soak the oats ideally overnight or a few hours beforehand (this helps to break down starches and reduce the naturally occurring phytic acid (the outer layer of all grains) which improves nutrient absorption).

2. Heat the milk over a medium heat and add the pureed apple, ground cinnamon and oats. Cook for about 3 minutes, stirring, until soft.

3. Add the ground almonds and raisins for 1 minute, and gently stir.

4. Check the porridge is the right consistency for you and cooked through. Pour into a serving bowl.

5. Add a drizzle of honey and top with blueberries.

NOTE FOR PARENTS:
