Gut Soother Recipe

The blend of these three fruits, along with the ginger, not only makes a great taste but is also good for the digestive tract too.

Ingredients

Method

1. Cut the pears into quarters and remove the cores and tough stalks, then slice away a chunk of pear to use to garnish, if you like. Juice the remaining pears.

2. Top and tail the carrots and chop into chunks, then push them through the juicer.

3. Cut the skin from the sides and bottom of the pineapple and chop the flesh into chunks that will fit through the juicer shute, then juice.

4. Peel the ginger skin, if shrivelled, before juicing the root.

5. Give everything a stir and, if using, serve with the reserved sliver of pear as a tangy garnish.

Nutrients: Beta-carotene, folic acid, vitamin C, calcium, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, sodium and sulphur.
